Students in 4th grade are exploring their independence. Focus is on creating a caring and supportive atmosphere where students can grow, explore and learn from one another. Class meetings are held each day where students are encouraged to discuss, share, and encourage each other in our fourth grade family. Students continue with a more in-depth experience of Novel studies and literature circles, while continuing to improve upon their Daily Oral Language, their quick writes, journal writing and writing across the curriculum. Students continue to review cursive and will be required to write cursive in all subject areas throughout the year. Integrated technology-based activities and application will complement printed materials throughout our day and curriculum.
